The little girl with a big heart
I workout at camp gladiator in Austin, TX. Last Saturday I decided to attend the obstacle course class there. The trainer Karim’s daughters were there enjoying the class with us. Everyone had bruised hands just after the first set of obstacles but we all kept going. During the last set of obstacles, as I was trying to jump up the catch the bar, I barely hung on it and was swinging. I fell down on the mulch facing down. It hurt pretty badly. I couldn’t get up for few minutes. The trainer’s daughter who is barely 5 years old, came and sat beside me as I was still lying down on the mulch. She kept moving her hands on my back. After few minutes I stood up, the little girl didn’t leave my side, she kept on removing pieces of mulch stuck all over me. I kept saying, thank you and its ok, she didn’t stop and continued to remove the mulch from my clothes. I kept fixing her hair and she was cleaning me up. I told her that she is a very good person. After few minutes I went back to climb the same obstacle and she came after cheering me up saying “You can do it”. I couldn’t stop but think, either she is just born angel or her parents are doing an amazing job raising their kids. I wish all adults could be like her, I wish all parents give their children this kind of upbringing.
